Wanda Johnson Obituary

Wanda Jean Johnson, age 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at IU Health West.  Born January 11, 1933 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Tatlock) Elliott.  On October 11, 1953, she married Walter Johnson who survives.

Wanda was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Speedway Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Elliott; 4 brothers: Loren Elliott, Walter Elliott, John Elliott, and Von Elliott; and 1 sister: Ruth Wade.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; 2 daughters: Karen Kauffman (Wayne) of Sylvania, Ohio and Teresa Johnson of Indianapolis; and 2 grandchildren: Leah Hahn (Terrance) and Seth Kauffman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Toney McCutcheon officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Franklin Cemetery.
