Troy Lee Cook

Troy Lee Cook, age 57, of Borden, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 surrounded by his family at home.

Troy worked at Samtec for 36 years, was on the Borden Parks Board for 20 years, and served on the Borden Volunteer Fire Department for 34 years.  He was a beloved basketball coach for 17 years.  He was an avid UK basketball fan, and a big supporter of the Borden Braves.  Troy was also a member of the First Christian Church of Borden.

Troy was most proud to be a husband, father of four, and grandfather of three.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Mellissa (Missi); his daughters:  Jessica Cook, Jacie (Jacob) Schafer, and Jordan (Ethan) Little; his son: Jared (Alyson) Cook; brother: Rudy Lee (Patty) Cook; granddaughter: Emry Little; grandsons: Elliot Little and Nash Cook; four nephews; two nieces; and in-laws Paul and Angie Brewer, Amy Brewer, and Mindi (Jeff) Holmes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph (Rudy) and Helen Cook.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the First Christian Church of Borden with Bro. Barry Shoemake officiating.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
