Obituary

Rose Nadene Bowman, age 80, of Vallonia, Indiana passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her residence.  Born May 24, 1942 in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Tom Gray and Mary Jane (Nolan) Gray.  On March 14, 1959, she married Estill Bowman who survives.

Rose was a homemaker and a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Estill Bowman; 4 children: Rita Gail Bowman (Joseph Johnson), Rhonda Janine Scott (Kevin), Regina Jane Smith (Kenneth), and Estill Bowman, Jr. (Deanna); 7 brothers: Bill Nolan, Raymond Gray, Denver Gray, Ronnie Gray, Melvin Gray, Carl Gray, and Tommy Gray; 2 sisters: Alene Davis and Ollie Knott; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Mary Jane Gray; brother, Elvin Gray; and sister, Evelyn Gray.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Southern Baptist Church with Jason Cooper officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, March 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
