Obituary

Robert Glenn Lake Jr, age 63 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence. Born July 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Robert Glenn Lake Sr and Wanda Fay (Hamblen) Malan.

Robert was an Army veteran, a retired general contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church in Borden.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Lake; 7 children: Sarah Stoutenburg (Fred), Brian Lake, Austin Lake, Seth Lake, Joshua Roberts, Jeremy Roberts and Whitney Brand; 6 brothers: Tim Lake, William Lake, Mark Lake, Larry Goff, Kevin Lake and Kyle Lake; and 5 sisters: Fay Lascelle, Cathy Hatfield, Sarah Poole, Rebecca Lake and Amy Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lake Sr. and Wanda Malan; grandparents: Hugh David Hamblen, Marie Fay Hamblen, Ellen Latcille Lake and Glenn Ewing Lake; and 1 infant siblings.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Borden with Bro. Mike Sargent officiating. Burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church.
