Mary Rose Martin

Mary Rose Martin, age 86, of Borden, Indiana passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.  Born March 8, 1935 in Borden, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Hardy and Bertha (Akers) Hardy.  On December 24, 1949, before the Clark County Justice of the Peace, she married Lloyd Eugene Martin who preceded her in death on May 7, 2009.

Mary was a cabinet maker with Haas Cabinet for over 25 years and was a member of the Borden Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Bertha Hardy; her husband, Lloyd Eugene Martin; brother Bob Hardy; and sister Edna Cullins.

Mary is survived by 5 sons: Mike Martin (Debra), Timothy Martin (Fay), Steven Martin (Kathryn), Rick Martin (Caramie), and Gabriel Martin; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Borden Chapel with Mike Sargent officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden.
