Lisa Ann Nale

Lisa Ann Nale, age 57, of Borden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Lisa passed peacefully at her residence, with loved ones by her side. Born November 9, 1965, she was the daughter of Gary Nale and Shirley (Robinson) Nale.

Lisa was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She loved God, her family, and helping others in any way she could. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in both arts and science from Indiana University in 1988 and a Masters in counseling from Indiana University Southeast. In 2008, she received her Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Louisville.

Most of her professional life in education was spent as a school teacher, counselor, administrator, principal, and behavioral clinician. She took pride in being able to help children excel in their personal growth. Lisa was involved in so many community, state, social, and educational guidance that it would be impossible to list them all. In what free time she did have, she enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and life experiences. Lisa was a faithful member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church and sat as a board member for Wood Township.

Lisa is survived by her parents: Shirley Nale and Gary Nale (Lora); 3 Brothers: Garry Nale (Kristie), Eric Nale (Tracy) and Hector Nale (Shannon); Her companion: Rick; 7 nieces and Nephews and a great aunt to 5.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home - Borden Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
