James A Stivers

James A Stivers, age 47, passed away at Ascension St Vincent Hospital on Friday, September 22, 2023.  Born on November 8, 1975 in Salem, he was the son of Arthur Stivers and the late Trudy Pumphrey.

James was formerly employed with Hoosier Precast.

James is survived by his father, Arthur Stivers; stepmother Regina Stivers; 5 daughers: Logan Stivers, Harlee Stivers, Madison Stivers, Aubrey Stivers, and Kaitlin Moon; 2 brothers: Chris Stivers and Cody Stivers; 1 sister, Jodi Norman; 3 grandchildren: Kailyn Casey-Strong, Sutton Woodward and Oaklynn Moon; and girlfriend Tiffany Locke.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Trudy Pumphrey, and 1 sister, Martha Raisor-Stivers.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 26, at 1 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home Salem Chapel, with burial to follow at Smedley Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
