James Povey Obituary

James Povey, age 63, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born November 9, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky, James was the son of the late Edward Albert Povey and Thelma Ophelia (Leezer) Povey.

James was a delivery driver for Bumper to Bumper in Clarksville, Indiana; he enjoyed competitive darts.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Van Hook) Povey; 3 children: Terry McKinley, Virginia McKinley, and Timothy McKinley; 1 brother; 3 sisters; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen; Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
