Heather Rose Hampton, age 50, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Born March 12, 1973 in New Albany, she was the daughter of Larry Crockett and Rhonda (Vergeson) Troyer. On February 22, 2019, she married Kevin Hampton, who survives.
Heather was a former waitress at Mama Rosa's in Salem, and a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church in Salem.
She is survived by her parents, Larry Crockett and Rhonda Troyer; husband, Kevin Hampton; children, Moriah Waldridge (Brandon), Megan Pleasanton, Ebonie Humphrey, Senna Bowling, and Rebecca Hampton; sisters, Jennifer Crockett Scudiero (Michael) and Jessica Johnson (Brandon); grandchildren, Ellyanna Narvell, Paxton Gauge Jackson, Millie Fae Pleasanton, Rosie Shae Turpin, Hayden Baughman, Hayzlea Jones, Haydyn Jones, Cevin Cook, Alisha Cook, and Alex Eddington; nephews, Logan Crockett and Matthew Prather; and nieces, Kora Gilstrap, Rhiana Johnson, and Hannah Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buster Crockett and Anna Vergeson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, Salem Chapel with Jeremiah Dean officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Blue River Baptist Cemetery.
