Donald Allen Hortenberry

Donald Allen Hortenberry, age 82, of Pekin, Indiana passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at the residence of Sarah Ann Terry.  Born March 8, 1938 in Taylorsville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Thomas Hortenberry and Edith Mae Hall.  On December 18, 1996, he married Betsy Hortenberry, who survives.

Donald was a retired truck driver and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy; 3 sons: Ricky, Donald and Brad Hortenberry; 2 daughters: Anna Anderson and Tina Hortenberry; and 1 step-son: Brad Lewis; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers: James, Cecil, and Kenny Hortenberry; and 1 grandchild: LaKiesha Hortenberry.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Rivers of Living Waters Church with Bro. Dennis Collins officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Burial to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Per Indiana mandate, only 50 people will be allowed in the building at one time; masks and social distancing will be required.
