Obituary
Dean Pixley, age 67, of Borden passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born June 20, 1956 in Salem, he was the son of the late Paul Pixley, Sr. and Garnet (Claxton) Pixley.
Dean was a former carpenter with Elliss Construction.
He is survived by his son, Jason Pixley; 2 brothers: Matt Pixley and Paul Pixley; 2 sisters: Carol Johnson and Reba Pixley; 3 grandchildren: Ian Pixley, Candace Pixley and Justin Pixley; and 2 great-grandchildren: Roger & Michael.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Pixley, Sr. and Garnet Pixley; and 1 brother, Kent Pixley.
Cremation was chosen by the family. Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
