Charles Elliott Obituary

Charles Irvin Elliott, age 81, of Salem, Indiana passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his residence. Born October 19, 1939 in Salem, he was the son of the late Albert Thermin Elliott and Elva Gail (Goodpasture) Elliott. On November 30, 1984, he married Sandra S. (Collins) Elliott who preceded him in death.

Charles was a retired machinist with Cummins Engine Co.; was an 8 year veteran of the United States Army Reserve; was a member of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church; and a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by 2 sons: William F. Elliott and Kirk C. Elliott; 1 brother: Lee E. Elliott; 1 sister: Maysel L. Roop; 3 grandchildren: K.C. Elliott II, Zack McCaslin, and Alli Elliott; step-son, Derek Collins (Stacy); step-grandchildren: Ryan Collins and Tyler Collins; his first wife, Susan I. (Hopkins) Elliott; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elva Elliott; wife, Sandra Collins; and 2 brothers: Robert W. Elliott and Noble E. Elliott.

Services will be private.
