Charles H. Coomer

Charles H. Coomer, age 75, of Salem, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.  Born on November 16, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana, Charles was the son of the late George and Mildred (Matthews) Coomer.

Charles was a retired concrete finisher with Bob Sprigler Concrete-Floyds Knobs.

Survivors include his wife, Burma (Pendleton) Coomer; 4 children: Teresa Fitch (Frank), Tina Lewis (Tony), Rick Coomer (Shonna), and Melissa Weber (Matt); 1 brother: Donald Coomer; 3 sisters: Aileen McNew, Margie Slusser, and Linda LaDuke; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Steve Coomer.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 6, at 1:00 P.M. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Brother Don Hicks officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with funeral dinner immediately following at Campbellsburg Christian Church.
