Cecil McCracken

Cecil McCracken, age 87, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at his residence. Born November 10, 1935, he was the son of the late Cecil McCracken and Lois (Moffat) Anderson. On December 20, 1958, he married Bonnie (Mattox) McCracken who preceded him in death.

Cecil was a Tool and Die maker at Precision Automation, until he retired. He was an Elder at the Livonia Presbyterian Church and a 1954 Orleans High School Graduate. Cecil was a member of the Hardinsburg Cemetery Board and an Army Veteran.

Cecil is survived by 2 children: Cindy Rutherford (Andrew) and Jon McCracken (Rebecca); 1 sister: Barbara Miller; 3 Grandchildren: Julie Titus (Theo), Jordan McCracken (Brittany) and Amber McCracken (Josh Tuddy); and 4 Great Grandchildren: Teddy, Harmony, Taylen and Timothy.

He was Preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie (Mattox) McCracken; parents and 1 brother: Frank Hamilton.

Services will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M at Livonia Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Donald T. Stokes officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Salem Chapel and 10:00 A.M until time of service on Tuesday at the Church. Burial to follow at Hardinsburg Cemetery with full military honors.
