Catherine Sue (Steeples) Beck, age 82, passed away Saturday, October 26, at Salem Crossing in Salem, Indiana after battling Alzheimer's Disease.

Catherine (Cathy) was a resident of Salem, Indiana at the time of her passing.

Cathy was born in Danville, Illinois to Theodore and Esther (Nale) Steeples.

She is survived by her twin sister, Rose Freed, of Cayuga, Indiana; five children: James (Lindsey) Beck of Garner, North Carolina, Richard (Deborah) Beck of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Pamela McConnaughey (Chad Fultz) of Salem, Indiana, Roger Beck of White Pine, Tennessee, and Amanda Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Theodore and Willis Steeples; sisters, Mildred Asher, Gertrude Antrum, Dorothy Lane, and Esther Shelton.

Cathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to church, dancing, taking walks, and spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.

Cathy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Direct cremation was chosen. Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
