Betty (Thumann) Michna

Betty Michna, age 75, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away Monday October 28, 2019 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1944 in Houston, Texas.

Betty was a lifelong Traditional Catholic and had a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She loved hosting family get-togethers. She was a homemaker, she raised and home schooled 9 children, worked the family business, and on the family farm. She was a member of TOPS and KOPS. Betty's favorite color was blue. If you like, wear something blue in her honor, only if convenient. 

Survivors include her husband, Anthony Michna; 9 children, Monica (Mark) Sellers, John (Liesl) Michna, Mary (Greg) Brewer, Elizabeth (Patrick) Barnes, Joseph (Allison) Michna, Michael (Jennifer) Michna, Stephen (Mallory) Michna, William (Randi) Michna, and Rose Michna; mother, Elizabeth Thumann; brother, Donald (Marinell) Thumann; sister, Carolyn Oakley; 33 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Theodore Thumann.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday November 1, at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Pekin. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Martinsburg Cemetery.
