Wilma L. Coats

Wilma L. Coats of Salem, Indiana passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Meadow View Health Care Center of Salem, at the age of 86. Born: March 9, 1922 in Clark Co. Indiana , she was the daughter of the late Elba Jackson and Zena (Owens) Jackson. She married Kenneth Merrell Coats on October 18, 1941, who procedes her in death. She was a retired clerical worker for the Auditors Office and Treasurer Office. She was a member of the Daisy Hill United Methodist Church, and she attended the Westview Christian Church. Survivors include: 1 Son Rodney M. Coats of Salem, Indiana. 1 Daughter Rebecca L. Roach of Salem, Indiana. 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was proceded in death by her Husband, 2 Sons Kevin Ray Coats and Duane Lee Coats, 1 Brother, and 1 Sister. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Daisy Hill United Methodist Church. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem, and after 9:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be at Swayback Cemetery.
