Wesley Ray Soliday

Wesley Ray Soliday, age 74, of Pekin passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at his residence.  Born September 12, 1948 in Pekin, he was the son of the late Merle Soliday and Sadie (Hedrick) Soliday.

Wesley was a leadman with Child Craft Industries, having retired with over 20 years of service, and was a member of the Church of Christ of Pekin.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie "Peanut" (Kilburn) Soliday; 4 children: Shona May Connell (John), Cynthia Lee Bowsman (Benjamin), Jessica RayAnn McKinley (Mike), and Jonathan Kilburn (Sarah Sumner); 2 brothers: Jim Soliday and Floyd Soliday; 2 sisters: Ann Smith and Pauline Barger; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Sadie Soliday; 1 son: Anthony Wayne Soliday; 1 daughter: Angela Kay Deuser; and 2 great granddaughters: Makayla Bowling and Aubrey Bowling.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Pekin Chapel.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
