Virginia Sue Maness

Virginia Sue Maness, age 81, of Salem, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at her residence. Born August 3, 1944 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Henry Lee McClure and Bessie Mae (Hasty) McClure. On May 3, 1963 she married Campbell Ray Maness, who has preceded her in death.

Virginia was a homemaker and she was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Brian Ray Maness (Vicki); her daughter, Lisa Sue Jones; 1 brother, Denneth McClure; 4 grandchildren: Brandi Hamilton, Brittney Jones, Elijah Maness, and Noah Maness; 4 great-grandchildren: Kileigh Griffith, Emily Roll, Kinzie Cornett, and Darius Cornett; 5 great-great-grandchildren: Jayleigh Griffith, Kydon Campbell, Iris Roll, Hazel Roll, and Koda Roll.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee McClure and Bessie Mae (Hasty) McClure; her husband, Campbell Ray Maness; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and 1 grandchild, Billy Jones.

Private funeral services will be held with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
