Virginia "Ginny" A. (Burgan) Carter

Virginia A. "Ginny" Carter, age 83, of Borden, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2014 at her residence. Born on June 16, 1930 in Shaun Kentucky, she was the daughter of Henry W. Burgan and Cora Belle (Noe)  Burgan. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Borden Church of Christ. Survivors include: 2 sons, Alan D. Carter and Brent W. Carter both of Borden; 1 daughter, Theresa A. Newlon of Pekin; 1 brother, James G. Burgan of Salem; 1 sister, Barbara Sue Cooley of Melbourne FL.; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Ralph Wesley Carter; 1 grandson, Jeremy Ashabraner; 2 brothers and 8 sisters. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Borden Church of Christ. Viewing will be from 4-9 PM Friday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden, and Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
