Verdus Arnold White

Verdus Arnold White, age 95, of Salem, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital. Born on February 7, 1919 in Corbin, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank White and Rebecca (Price) White. On October 10, 1945 he married Dorothy Lucille (Hughes) White. He married Golden White in 1997, she survives. He was retired from Smith Cabinet and a Farmer. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. He was an Army Veteran. Survivors include: 4 sons, David Arnold White, Kermit L. White, John R. White, and Robert White; 1 daughter, Brenda F. White (Ashby); 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Dorothy Lucille (Hughes) White; 3 brothers, Rowe White, Baxter White and Kenneth White; 1 sister, Cotha White.
