Stephen A. Abbott

Stephen A. Abbott, age 61, of Salem, Indiana, died at 12:45 PM on October 13, 2011 in Floyd Memorial Hospital. Born on March 13, 1950, he was the son the late Harry Abbott and Glendon Allen. On October 5, 1991, he married Diana (Terrell) Abbott of Salem, she survives. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. He was a Woodwork Machine Operator for the Olon Industries in Jeffersonville Indiana. He was a former Volunteer Firefighter for the New Washington Fire Dept. Other survivors include; 1 daughter, Sara Abbott of Salem; 1 sister, Jane Creech of New Washington Indiana. Proceded in death by parents, 1 son, 1 brother. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
