Shirley Baird

Shirley Baird age 80, of Salem, passed away Tuesday April 13, 2010 at 12:45 am at the Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 13, 1930 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Mylburn May and Anna (Lucas) May. She married Ray Baird on September 25, 1947, he precedes her in death. She was a Life Long Farmer and Homemaker. She was also a member of the Church of God of Sellersburg and also attended Little York Christian Church. Survivors include Three Sons, Paul "Ed" (Sharon) Baird of Arcadia, IN. Carl (Jean) Baird of Lanesville, IN. Kevin (Linda) Baird Scottsburg, IN; Three Brothers, Max May of Mississippi, Jay May of Tennessee and Kay May of Ohio; Six Grandchildren, Amy Ewing, Angela Newby, Jason Baird, Kelly Stevens, Michael Baird and Jared Baird; One Great Grandchild, Sydni Ewing. Preceded in death by her Husband and One Sister Dorothy Vincent. A Celebration of her life will be at 10:00 am Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 pm Friday and after 9 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem. Bro. William Jordan will officiate.
