Senna Bowling, age 87, of Salem, passed away September 25, 2013 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Born on January 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Davidson and Ollie Ledford Davidson. On April 17, 1941, she married Isaiah Bowling who passed away on April 26, 1999.
She was retired from Smith Cabinet with over 25 years of service. She was a member of the Highland Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 3 sons, Don Bowling, Isaiah Bowling Jr., and Howard Bowling; 5 daughters, Daisy Harris, Betty Woodward, Sarah Burns, Rosetta Chastain, and Senna K. Bowling; 1 brother, A.F. Davidson; 1 sister, Lucy Stewart; 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, 1 son, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 granddaughters.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Friday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Brother Howard Stewart and Brother Danny Jewell will officiate.
