Sarah Ann Terry, 86, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at her residence. Born June 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Anna Bell (Gibbs) Keeling.
Sarah was a member of the Marshall Avenue Church in Salem.
She is survived by her 5 children: Anna Anderson, Rick Hortenberry (Melita), Donald Hortenberry (Teresa), Tina Hortenberry (Kenny) and Brad Hortenberry (Patty); 4 sisters: Effie Cox, Louise Collins, Betty Atha, and Rosie Hilbert; 11 grandchildren: Jamie Anderson, Tiffany Hortenberry (Brittany), Michael Cozart, Jennifer Blevins (Paul), Cherish Hortenberry, Savannah Wilkerson, Natasha Hitchcock, Kristina Hurst, Thomas Hortenberry, Devin Hortenberry, and Isaac Hortenberry; 27 great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Justine (Kristina) Lamb.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Anna Bell; her 2 husbands: Donald A. Hortenberry, and RC Terry; a granddaughter, Lakiesha Hortenberry; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Rivers of Living Water Ministries in Salem, with burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home - Salem Chapel; and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. There will also be a pitch-in meal following the services at the church.
