Ruth S (Spangler) Potter

Ruth S. Potter, age 75 of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on July 24, 2017 at her residence. Born on August 14, 1941 in Letcher County Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John Estil Spangler and Cora Slone Spangler. Ruth was a Homemaker. She was a Angel here on Earth. She was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in Scottsburg. Survivors include her husband, Hubble Potter; 2 sons, Duane (Liz) Potter & John (Virginia) Potter; 2 daughters, Trina (Timothy)Fleming & Tracey (Raymond) Branham; 5 sisters, Joyce Sturgill, Faye Collier, Loretta Liming, Nada Fleming & Nina Brough; 16 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother & 1 sister. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Pekin. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mike Schuler will officiate.
