Ruth M. (Felker) Shepherd

Ruth M. Shepherd, age 83, of Salem, passed away on June 7, 2015 at the Salem Crossing Facilities. Born on September 20, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John Felker and Ora (Heaston) Felker. Ruth was a member of the Salem Homemakers Club. Survivors include: 2 sons, Mark Shepherd and Bruce Shepherd both of Salem; 1 daughter, Nancy Reisinger of Salem; caregiver and grandson  Mitchell Davis; 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Loren W. Shepherd; granddaughter, Melissa "Missy" Davis; 6 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
