Ruth A. Butt

Ruth A. Butt, age 86, of Borden, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at her home.  She was born September 16, 1934 in Williamsburg, Kentucky.  She was married to the late Rufus H. Butt.

Ruth was a homemaker and previously cared for her late dear friend, Beulah Singleton.

She is survived by 3 sons: Rufus E. Butt, George Butt (Paula), and Donald Butt; 3 daughters:  Vivian Norris (Bill), Nancy Bush (Trent), and Missi Hurst (Jason); 2 brothers:  Mece "Moose" Griffith and Tony Griffith; 2 sisters:  Zelma "Gere" McCowan and Geraldean Hauser; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; Joyce Griffith; and Hospice caregivers, Cindy and Brandi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ova and Laura Griffith; her husband, Rufus H. Butt; 2 brothers:  Bill Griffith and Arley Griffith, and 1 sister: Euma Joy Prewitt.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Borden Chapel.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Miller Cemetery.
