Ruth (Depew) Burns

Ruth Burns, age 94 of Salem, passed on October 24, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 21, 1922 in Manchester, Kentucky. Ruth was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was retired from Child Craft in Salem. Survivors include, 4 sons, Elmer (Alpha) Burns, Woody (Betty) Burns, Ronnie (Elizabeth) Burns and Ray (Rogetta) Burns; daughter, Jewel Herron; 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Burns; parents, Gilbert Depew & Annie Hacker Depew; 3 brothers, Kelly Depew, Sherdian Depew and Levi Depew; 4 sisters, Verlie Bowling, Ida Hoskins, Chelsie Bowling and Mary Bowling. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
