Russell O. Shields Jr.

Russell O. Shields Jr. age 54, of Salem, Indiana, died on January 12 2011 at his residence. Born on October 4, 1956 in Salem. He was the son of Russell O. Shields Sr. and Rose Marie (Stasser) Shields of Salem, both survive. On November 10, 2006 he married Sandra (Durham) Shields, who survives. He was a former Coast Guard Veteran, and a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge #21. He was also a farmer. Other survivors include; one son, Reece Shields of Salem; four daughters, Holly Shields of Salem, Bryony Harrell of Virginia, Chelsie Shields of Salem and Brionna Shields of Salem; one brother, Riley Shields of Salem; three sisters, Beverly Todd of Greenville, Indiana, Susan Collins of Greenville, Indiana and Sharon Clark of Salem; six grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son Jeremy Shields and one sister. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be a Crown Hill Cemetery. Kevin Lewis will officiate. Online expressions www.hughestaylor.net
