Russell I. Harden Sr, age 70, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on November 6, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born on October 8, 1948 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of the late George Harden & Ruth Dorsett.
Russell was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He retired from L&N Railroad Company. He was a member of the American Legion Salem Post.
Survivors include 3 sons, Russell I. Harden Jr, Michael B. Harden & Chris D. Harden; fiancé Carole Elliott; 3 brothers, Billy Dorsett, Shane Dorsett & Allen Dorsett; sister, Darla Christianberry; 8 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Friday 2:00 PM at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Friday until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Brother Finnis Curry will officiate.
