Ronnie Leon Thompson

Ronnie Leon Thompson, age 64, of Salem, passed away May 9, 2014 at his residence. Born on February 18, 1950 in Missouri, he was the son of Joseph Edward Thompson and Oma (Piatt) Thompson. He was a Self-Employed Logger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbellsburg. Survivors include: wife, Ruth Ann (Williams) Thompson; 1 son, John Thompson of Salem; 1 daughter, Valorie Bateman of Salem; 3 sisters, Lisa Thompson, Thresa Bates, and Jennifer McKinsey all of Missouri; 4 grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents, 1 son, 4 sisters. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Brothers Mike Combs and Mike Williams will officiate.
