Roger Wayne Martin

Roger Wayne Martin, age 64, of Salem passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at his residence.  Born August 12, 1956 in Harrison County, he was the son of Kenneth Luse Martin, who survives, and the late Helen Louise (Owens) Martin.  On September 17, 1976, he married Patricia J. (Snider) Martin who survives.

Roger was a dairy and hog farmer and electrician, was a member of the Horseshoe Pitchers Association, and was an avid coon hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Martin; father, Kenneth Martin, and step-mother, Lucille Martin; 2 daughters: Julia Marie Hayes (Richard) and Dianna Jean Miracle (Nicholas); 1 brother: Ronald Martin; 1 sister: Susan Bates (Jim); and 3 granddaughters: Madelyn Hayes and London and Scotlyn Miracle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Martin.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Ken Keily officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
