Roger Dale "Preach" Howard, age 67 of Salem, died at 3:30 PM Friday November 18, 2011 in Floyd Memorial Hospital, New Albany. Born on September 11, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John N. Howard and Lydia (Clem) Howard. He was a retired Farmer. He was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include: 2 sons, Roger (Sue) Howard Jr. and John (Desiree) Howard; 6 brothers, Hubert (Dana) Howard, Ewell (Linda) Howard, Hulen (Judy) Howard, Benny (Sherry) Howard, Neil (Debbie) Howard and Mark Howard; 3 sisters, Barbara (Chester) VanMeter, Joan Hulett and Daisy (Robert) Sample; 2 grandchildren. Proceded in death by parents, 3 brothers Ernie, Gary and Johnny Howard. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday November 20, 2011 at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem.
