Robert "Bob" Norris

Robert "Bob" Norris, age 87, of Borden, Indiana passed away on March 9, 2015 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. Born on February 4, 1928 in Pekin, Indiana he was the son of the late Alonzo W. Norris and Lillian (Brough) Norris. On May 22, 1948 he married Marietta (Cook) Norris, who precedes him in death. He was an Army Veteran. He was a heavy equipment operator, and he enjoyed antique gas engines. Survivors include: 2 sons, Robert J. Norris and Bill Norris; 2 daughters, Buffy Gibson and Shanda Morris; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife; 1 sister, Wilma Cole; 3 brothers, Russell Norris, Jimmy Norris and JR Norris. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, and from 10:00 AM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Martinsburg Cemetery. Brother Sid Dye will officiate.
