Roba Boling, age 87, of Salem (Kossuth), passed away April 14, 2014 at her residence. Born on September 11, 1926 in Clay County Kentucky, she was the daughter of Christopher Pittman Nicholson and Nell (Stivers) Nicholson. On December 17, 1944 she married Charles Floyd Boling.
She was a Homemaker. She was a retired hospital kitchen employee.
She was a member of the Plattsburg United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Republican Women's Club. She was an award winning pie baker.
She was a Monroe Township Board Member, she was a Past President. She was also a Precinct Vice Committee Chair.
Survivors include: 3 sons, Mike Boling, David Boling and Mark Boling; 3 daughters, Jean Day, Linda Harrington and Marianne Nelson; 1 brother, Roosevelt Nicholson; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Bro. Ken Woolsey will officiate.
