Ralph Davidson

Ralph Davidson, age 81, of Salem passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at his residence. Born August 5, 1942, in Manchester, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Taylor Davidson and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Bowling) Davidson.

Ralph married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Barrett in 1960. They were blessed with 3 children: Glenna Brock, Kevin Davidson and Mark Davidson. In 1983, Ralph married Deborah (Harris) Davidson and they had 1 son, Dustin Davidson. Ralph was the former owner of Salem Floor Coverings. He was a Gideon and member of the Highland Baptist Church. Ralph also loved to fly.

He is survived by his wife: Deborah “Debi” (Harris) Davidson; 3 children: Glenna Brock, Kevin Davidson (Lisa) and Dustin Davidson (Susan); 5 sisters: Edith Robinson (Carl), Evelyn Robinson-Arnold, Maureen Purkhiser (Mike) EllaSue Adkins and Judy Stoffegen (Victor); and 5 Grandchildren: Erin Davidson (Caren), Landon Brock (Kearstan), Connor Davidson, Lauren Davidson, and Olivia Davidson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son: Mark Davidson and 1 brother: Benny Davidson.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 P.M at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home- Salem Chapel, with Tony Mendizabal officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M and on Saturday from 11:00 A.M until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
