Perry Lee Motsinger, age 78, of Salem, passed away on April 5, 2016 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital. Born on July 16, 1937 in Salem Indiana, he was the son of Frank Herman Motsinger and Bessie Mae (Rodman) Motsinger.
Perry was a retired Sergeant First Class of the Indiana National Guard. He was a retired farmer, mechanic and truck driver. He was a member of Southern Hills Church in Salem.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Ethel (Emery) Motsinger; 3 sons, Gerald L. Motsinger (Jackie), Todd H. Motsinger (Angie), and Michael R. Hobson (Karen); 2 daughters, Rhonda L. Motsinger and Teresa A. Nichols (Rick); 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents; brother, Reed F. Motsinger; sister, Dorothy M. Elgin.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Olive Branch Cemetery with full military honors. Brother Sid Dye will officiate.
