Paul "Bob" Rutherford

Paul “Bob” Rutherford, age 87, of Borden passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at Salem Crossing. Born May 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Paul Rutherford and Ruth (Bryant) Rutherford. On October 14, 1991 he married Teresa (Wheeler) Rutherford, who survives.

Paul was an Owner and Accountant of Rutherford Accounting. He served his country in the United States Army and was a proud member of the NRA. Paul was a member of the National Society of Accountants, the Indiana Society of Accountants, and a member of the First Christian church of Borden.

He is survived by his wife: Teresa Rutherford; 3 children: Bob Rutherford (Amy), Shannon Burton (Bill) and Holly Thompson (Chris); 1 sister: Janie Hudson and 6 Grandchildren: Chloe Rutherford, Rachael Rutherford, Gracie Mauck, Hunter Rutherford, Emma Mauck and Layla Rutherford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Lawrence Bryant.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church of Borden with Brian Combs officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 1:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M and on Friday from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at the Church.
