Paul "Pete" Pixley Sr.

Paul "Pete" Pixley, Sr., age 85, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on September 9, 2019 at his residence.  Born May 23, 1934 in Pekin, Indiana, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Mahuron) Pixley.

Mr. Pixley loved his garden; was a retired laborer of International Harvester with over 25 years of service; and was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Survivors include four sons: Bryan D. Pixley, William K. Pixley, George M. Pixley, and Paul H. Pixley, Jr.; two daughters: Paula Carol Johnson, and Reba L. Pixley; one brother: Jesse Pixley; one sister, Virgie Jones; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Floy Pixley, his parents, and 8 siblings.

The funeral service will be Friday, September 13, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Pekin.  Viewing will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Olive Branch Cemetery.
