Patsy L. Callaway

Patsy L. Callaway, age 89, of Salem, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Salem Crossing.  Born June 3, 1931 in Salem, she was the daughter of Glen Harned and Grace (Weeks) Harned.  On December 12, 1948, she married Wayne Callaway.

Patsy was a homemaker and cafeteria worker; was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem; a member of Community Club 31; and a former 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by 4 children: Waynetta Myers (Tom); Gary Callaway (Cathy); Steven Callaway (Donna); and Aaron Callaway (Misty); 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 step-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Dr. Steve Gorman officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.  Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Parkinson's Association or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

The family kindly requests that those attending services to please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
