Naomi (Coats) Gray

Naomi Gray, age 84, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1933 in Borden, Indiana. Naomi was a retired Cook Supervisor for the Washington County Sheriff Department. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church in Salem. She was a member of the Borden Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her son, David Gray of Salem; brother, Ralph Coats of Jeffersonville; 2 sisters, Emilie Martin of Salem & Geneva Skelton of Indianapolis; great grandson, Stephen Gray; several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Gray; parents, Lewie Ivan Coats & Iva Ester Blankenbaker Coats; 2 grandsons, Ryan Gray & Troy Gray; great grandson, Darren Gray; 2 brothers, Lewie Ivan Coats Jr. & John David Coats; sister Martha Leona Coats. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday & Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service, at the funeral home.
