Melvin W. Sutton

Melvin W. Sutton of Salem, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital in Salem, at the age of 75. Born on March 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Eden James Sutton and Ella (Bush) Sutton. He married Wilma (Merry) Sutton on June 27, 1953, who precedes him in death. He retired from Smith Cabinet after 43 years of service. He also owned and operated the Sutton's Lawnmower Shop for 38 years. He was an Army Veteran, and he served in the Korean War. Survivors include one Daughter Donna Sutton of Salem. 1 Brother Russell Sutton of Salem. 3 Sisters Ruth Falton of New Albany IN. Mildred Buchanan of Salem IN. Burnis Royle of Royal Missouri. Preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, 3 Brothers, and 3 Sisters. The services will be private.
