Melissa Schocke, age 48, of Salem, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in Salem. She was born February 3, 1978, in Salem, the daughter of Charles and Ellesiph (Huffines) Schocke.
Melissa is survived by her two children, Lisa Cochran (Brian) and Sarah Cole; six brothers, Gary Schocke (Mary Beth), Scott Schocke (Denise), Chuck Schocke, Kenny Schocke (Melissa), Frank Schocke, and Tony Schocke (Melissa); one sister, Shana Schocke; and four grandchildren, Annora Moore, Ryker Moore, Ellesiph Cochran, and Weston Cochran.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home - Salem Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, November 9, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
