Max Edward Hayden

Max Edward Hayden, age 80, of Salem, passed away on August 5, 2014 in the Meadow View Health and Rehab Center in Salem. He was born on March 4, 1934 in Columbus, Indiana. He was retired from Kimball's in Salem. Survivors include: granddaughter, Taylor Humphrey of Salem; 6 brother-in-laws, Larry Shell (Regina), Preston Shell (Margie), Leonard Shell, Robert Shell (Bonnie), George Shell (Vonnie) all of Washington County; 2 sister-in-laws, Debbie Shell Humphrey (Joe), and Marie Shell both of Washington County; 1 brother, Norman Hayden (Wanda) of Seymour; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents, C. Earl Hayden and Bertha Wycoff; wife, Marjorie Sue Shell Hayden; step daughter, Sherri Spurgeon Gregory. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem. Viewing will be from 9:00 am until 10:30 am Tuesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem.
