Mary Spurgeon

Mary Spurgeon age 89, of Salem, Indiana passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. Born on May 16, 1921 in Salem, Indian she was the daughter of the late Ed Wingler and Rosie (Long) Wingler. She was retired from Smith Cabinet with 37 years of service. She was a member of the Platsburg Methodist Church and the Washington Co. Republican Women's Auxillary. Survived by two sisters, Lennie Hall of Edgewater, FL. and Eldora Knight of Salem, IN. Several nieces and nephews. Caregivers Daniel and Sherry Sorrels. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday and after 9:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Bro. Mike Tolliver and Bro. Ken Woosley will officiate.
