Mary K Middleton

Mary K. Middleton, age 87, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born September 11, 1938, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Edith (Collins) Brickey.

Mary retired from Salem Middle School, where she spent many years working in the cafeteria. She was also a faithful member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her four children: Mark (Karen) Middleton, Kristi Middleton, Troy Middleton and Todd (Lindsey) Middleton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband: Walter Middleton; and three sisters: Bessie Mae Little, Anna Alsip and Janie Wingfield.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem with George Browning officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
