Martha (Bagshaw) Floyd, age 88, of Salem, passed away on March 18, 2014 at the Meadow View Health and Rehab Center in Salem. Born on April 14, 1925 in San Pierre, Indiana, she was the daughter of James Everett Bagshaw and Lumna Elva (Charles) Bagshaw.
She retired from the Salem Middle School as the Attendance Clerk with over 20 years of service.
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, a long time member of the choir and United Methodist Women's Club. She was a 50 + year member of the Salem Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include: 1 son, Bryce Floyd; 3 daughters, Donalee Beld, Valarie Bundy and Elana Floyd-Kennett; 1 sister, Emma Ruth Cooke; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents, husband Donald Floyd.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Bro. Bob Holler will officiate.
