Marietta Norris

Marietta Norris age 79 of Borden, passed away on Saturday May 2, 2009 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital. Born on October 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Cook and Maybell (Lukins) Cook. She married Robert Norris on May 22, 1948, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include 2 Sons Robert J. Norris of Salem and Bill Norris of Pekin. 2 Daughters Buffy Gibson of Salem and Shanda Morris of Borden. 1 Sister Juanita Bailey of Henryville. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers Rudy Cook and Sherman Cook. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. Viewing will be from 4-8 Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Martinsburg Cemetery. Brother Sid Dye will officiate.
