Loyd "Ray" Jacobs, Sr.

Loyd "Ray" Jacobs, Sr., age 65, of Salem, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.  Born October 12, 1955 in Salem, he was the son of the late Harold "Red" Jacobs and Anne (McCoy) (Burnetta) Leach.  On March 8, 1997, he married Linda (Simler) Jacobs who survives.

Ray was a retired logger.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; 1 son, Loyd Ray Jacobs, Jr.; 1 daughter, Holly Beavers; 1 step-son, Brian Weston; 1 step-daughter, Melissa Tucker; 1 sister, Susie Knight; 18 grand children; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Michael Chad Jacobs.

Services will be private.
